WHAT IS DR MZ?

Dr Mz is a youth drop in centre run by Carmarthen Youth Project for young people aged 8-25.
We provide a comfortable, safe, informative and stimulating place for young people to meet. Where they enjoy good food and plenty of great activities, learn new skills, volunteer and get involved.

Safe

The project aims to promote the best interests of young people from Carmarthen and the surrounding rural areas.

Educational

We assist young people to develop their physical, mental, emotional and spiritual capacities.

Informative

We aim to empower young people to become mature and fully integrated members of society.

Dr Mz doesn’t judge me. I can come here, be myself and know I have support. I can rely on the staff and don’t know what I would do if Dr Mz wasn’t here to help me through the tough times.

HOW ARE WE FUNDED?

Dr Mz is a Charitable Company Limited by Guarantee and as such relies mainly on grant funding and donations. We are supported by Carmarthenshire County Council and Carmarthen Town Council and work closely with them.

We are always looking for more funding to support the work that we do and to develop the Project as the needs of the young people and The Youth Work Strategy for Wales dictates. We are always interested in any opportunities for corporate sponsorship and support from local business.
