The Youth Town Council&#8217;s letter to the Carmarthen Journal sparked community dialogue about addressing these challenges.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A collaborative group emerged, including Town\/County Councillor Margaret Evans, parents, clergy, the Society for Children, and young people themselves. Through consultation, they identified the need for a safe, welcoming space where young people could socialise, participate in activities, and have decision-making input.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In 1997, this vision materialised as Dr M&#8217;z, named by the young people to honour Dr. Margaret Evans, whose dedication and leadership inspired the project.
