On Sunday 6th September Gayle Harris, Amanda Jones (youth worker), Ruth Randall (Young Person at Dr. M’z) and Charlotte Coombes (Youth Worker based at Carmarthenshire Youth Offending Prevention Service) bravely completed a Tandem Skydive.
The money raised, which at present is in excess of £1360.00, will be donated, half to Carmarthen Youth Project (Dr. M’z) and half to The Ray Gravell and Friends Charitable Trust.
The team of four organised a number of events including a coffee morning, a bucket collection and two car boot sales to help raise the funds.
Gayle said, “The jump was awesome. The views from up there were indescribable. We were all extremely scared on the morning but as soon as we jumped we all thoroughly enjoyed the experience. We would like to thank all those at Skydive Swansea for such a professional and friendly experience, all those who helped us raise the money and all those who came to support us on the day”.
Ruth Randall, who is off to university in a few weeks said, “It was an amazing experience and I’d really like to do another jump as soon as I can”.
Our target was £4000 and we are still collecting so if anyone wants to donate please contact us.
